Eagle Creek Park is a major greenspace located in Indianapolis, Indiana. It is one of the most popular parks in the area, and it receives more than 1 million visitors every year. It is one of the top 10 largest municipal parks in the country.

Eagle Creek Park is known for its tremendous amount of space. In total, it is close to 4000 acres in size. There are plenty of Meadows, woods, and ponds. One of the biggest attractions is a reservoir, which is more than 1,300 acres in size. This serves as a great resource not only for plants and animals who live in the area but also for individuals and families who like to spend time on the water during the summer in Indy.

One of the major components of Eagle Creek Park is its volunteer opportunities. Without the help of volunteers, the park would not be what it is today. The Eagle Creek Park Foundation is responsible for providing humanitarian and financial support to protect the park itself. This includes the woods, fields, recreational opportunities, and the reservoir. One of the ways to foundation raises money is by donating benches to the park. People can pay to have the bench named in honor of somebody, and the foundation will have the bench installed by the city.

There are many popular activities at the park. During the summer, people love to come and cool off. Some of the most popular watersports include rafting, kayaking, and paddleboarding. People love to come down to the beach and go swimming, and some people fish in the creek. There is also a popular outdoor summer concert series at the park.

During the winter, there are cross-country skiing opportunities. There are also lots of local kids who build snowmen and have snowball fights.
Throughout the year, lots of local recreational sports leagues have matches and games at the park. Some of the most popular sports include soccer, basketball, and baseball. Eagle Creek Park also has a golf course that is open to the public. There are also hiking trails people can explore as well.
